I l have strong opinions on where to stay/what to do/ what to eat in Seattle. I lived in the Capitol Hill neighborhood for over 5 years, so recommendations may be a little biased.

Food: Here's a (very short) list of places I like

• Kedai Makan : Delicious Malaysian-ish food

• Ba Bar: Vietnamese

• Spinasse: Fancy Italian

• Tolouse Petit: Creole/Cajun

Coffee:

• Espresso Vivace

• Cherry Street Coffee

Dessert:

• General Porpoise Doughnuts

• Half and Half donuts

• Salt and Straw : I recognize this isn't Seattle specific, but it is a Pacific Northwest staple.

• Molly Moon's Ice Cream

• Frankie and Jos Ice Cream (vegan / gf)

• Pie Bar

(Some) Bars:

• Linda's : Divey

• Corvus and Co 

• Needle and Thread: Fancy, no menu speakeasy

Museums worth visiting:

• Chihuly Garden and Glass

• Seattle Art Museum 

• Asian Art Museum

• Museum of Flight

Things near the city you may enjoy:

• Tulips @ Skagit Valley

• SO many hikes.  If you aren't sure where to start, I recommend Mt Si.

• Great skiing if you're into it. 

• Visit an island in the Puget Sound. I recommend Whidbey Island if you have the time.

• Many many fun things, I am lazy.
